A recommendation is not a guarantee
Recommended level is a reference. Vocation, skills, equipment, affixes, food, supplies and party size can greatly change the outcome. Test an accessible difficulty before leaving a new hunt running for hours.
Four difficulties
Easy, Medium, Hard and Hardcore use their own monster configurations. Selection shows composition and gold bonuses. Hardcore requires Premium for every member. Use the wiki entries to compare each difficulty instead of assuming only monster health changes.
Hunt for your next upgrade
Vocation highlights help locate progression equipment. Displayed chances are per eligible monster kill, not every kill on the map. Early equipment received higher acquisition chances; sources, rarity and price still vary by item.
Route and positioning
During a hunt, your character follows the route and uses the action bar automatically. Target distance and follow settings affect positioning. Walls and occupied tiles can prevent retreat: a distance preference is not a promise to avoid all melee damage.
