More damage depends on the target
Check damage types and monster resistances in the hunt. A spell that looks strong on paper may be poor against an enemy resistant to its element. Wands and rods show their element, damage interval and mana cost where applicable.
An area attack needs to hit
The minimum-target trigger evaluates the actual action area from your current position. It does not count the entire map population. Position, range and line of sight can prevent a spell even if its HP or mana condition is satisfied.
Build sustainable recovery
Use meaningful healing and mana-recovery thresholds. Potions and runes share item cooldowns: a potion firing at every opportunity can delay runes. Magic level, percentage damage and regeneration help in different ways; watch the session to identify your bottleneck.
