Transmutation: change the set
A regular transmutation cube rerolls affix types and values, preserving existing tiers. Enhanced cubes can raise rarity up to Legendary. Mythic, Divine and Transcendent come from drops; cubes can adjust their affixes but cannot create these rarities. Normal gear only accepts enhanced transmutation; without an upgrade, it keeps no affixes.
Calibration: change the values
The normal calibration cube preserves types and tiers and rerolls line values. The enhanced version can also raise the tier of one eligible line. Values can get worse, even within a higher range. Check the current chances below.
How to use them safely
In the city, withdraw your cube from the depot and open Workshop → Cubes. Check the operation and rarity-based gold fee. Every valid attempt consumes the cube and fee, even without improvement. It does not reduce rarity, existing tiers or refinement. Favorites remain protected.
Cube drops are not a fixed per-monster chance
Cubes use randomized combat-time accumulation with delivery tied to kills. Lower-level maps receive a smaller scale; difficulty also matters. The hourly average is not a guaranteed quota, and standing idle outside combat does not build an unlimited reserve. See map-specific references in the catalog.

One attempt neither guarantees success nor increases the next attempt's odds. Enhanced calibration targets one eligible line for a tier upgrade, not all lines at once.
